March is National Engineering Month in Canada!

National Engineering Month is Canada’s largest celebration of engineering excellence. An annual national campaign, National Engineering Month celebrates engineers, their work, and the important role they play in society. Presented by Engineers Canada, National Engineering Month is guided by the theme, “There’s a place for you in engineering,” which celebrates the diversity of thought, opportunities, and people that make up the engineering profession. In some provinces, you’ll find geoscientists joining in as part of National Engineering and Geoscience Month.
National Engineering Month is a forum for engineering students, engineers-in-training (EITs), and early-career engineers to have conversations about their profession and the role that engineers play in society. Events during National Engineering Month empower and inspire them to consider important questions as they embark on their engineering careers: what is our role, as engineers, in society? What will my impact be as an engineer? How can we use engineering to contribute solutions to today’s biggest challenges? What do we want our profession to look like?
Engineers, engineering students, engineering faculties, and engineering companies can also join the National Engineering Month celebrations and conversations on social media using the hashtags #NEM2023 or #NEGM2023.
Host an event
Join the national celebration of engineering by hosting an event in March! If you are hosting an engineering event during National Engineering Month that fits with the theme and description above, we want to hear all about it. Send us details of your event, and we’ll add it to the list on our website of public events happening from coast to coast to coast in March 2023 to demonstrate that you are part of a larger, national celebration of engineering with like-minded organizations across the country. Event registration opens on January 9, 2023.
